A bit confused by some terminology
I've only been playing for about a week, and been on the forums for about that long as well. I've been reading a lot in the ranger forums, as my fist character is a ranger, and I keep seeing references to a "spiker" build. I've played several MMOs, but I'm not familiar with this concept, and I was hoping someone might give me some insight. Thanks!
[Edit] Just an afterthought, but I realized this thread might also be valuable to other players, like myself, who may not be familiar with all the abbreviations and terminology tossed about by more experienced players. So if you happen to have questions like I do, feel free to use this thread to post them. Last edited by TheFrog; Feb 03, 2007 at 06:11 PM // 18:11.. |

Basically, a spiker is a build that has a few people hitting the same skills in the same order on the same target in order to kill them fast (best done over vent or TS because it requires good timing). In the case of the ranger, that usually involves skills like dual shot, savage shot and punishing shot because those skills are activated quicker than normal bow attacks, therefore resulting in quick damage. When two or three people use these skills at the same time, the damage can add up pretty nicely. However, some people try to add a little flavor to these kinds of builds by using different skills.
